Frank Giacalone
Frank Giacalone currently serves as Health Director for the City of Newburyport. Prior to serving in Newburyport, Frank was the Health Director for the City of Saugus for 12 years. Frank is a well-versed Public Health professional with a unique blend of skills, education and experience that encompasses various professions needed to manage and operate a successful food and beverage operation. Frank is knowledgeable in state and local regulatory requirements, building construction and design, operational management and food safety.
Andrew Petty
Andrew Petty currently serves as the Director of Public Health for the Town of Marblehead. Andrew has worked in municipal public health for the last 14 years. Andrew began his career in the field of Public Health in 2006 working for the Town of Wellfleet as the assistant Director of Health and Conservation. In 2011 he moved his family to Marblehead when he became the Director of Public Health there. Andrew is currently the Chair of the region 3D Emergency Preparedness Coalition and represents 3D in the Local and State Advisory Council for Public Health Emergency Preparedness (LSAC). Andrew holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and is a Registered Sanitarian.
Brian LaGrasse
Brian is a well-versed Public Health professional with over 24 years of experience in the field. Brian began his career in the field of Public Health in 1995 working as a Recovery Technician, Daily Safety Observer, Emergency Spill Response Technician for OHM Remediation Services Corporation in Findlay Ohio. In 1998, Brian came to work for Groundwater & Environmental Services, Inc. in Westford as an Associate Environmental Scientist. In this role, Brian worked as an environmental consultant/liaison between Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection and Mobil Business Resources Corporation. In 1999, Brian became the Conservation Associate/Administrator for the town of North Andover, Conservation Department. In 2001, Brian began working as a Public Health Inspector for North Andover Health Department. Brian served in this role until 2004 when he became the Director of Public Health for the city of Amesbury. As the Health Director for Amesbury, Brian performed all Health Director and Department functions as well as initiating weekly Emergency and Disaster Planning Group meetings. In 2006, Brian became the Director of Public Health, City of Methuen Health Department. Brian lead Methuen’s representation as Chairman of the Greater Lawrence Public Health Coalition, Region 3B, for bioterrorism, pandemic/infectious disease outbreak planning, mass vaccination and all hazard regional planning. Represented Region 3B in the Local and State Advisory Committee (LSAC) meetings for three years. Brian served in this role until 2016 when he became the Public Health Director for North Andover. Brian holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Biology from Merrimack College.
